No Blue Beaver, No Problem

Published on November 7, 2006 by in Uncategorized

How’s it goin’ eh?

So as I mentioned earlier there are odd rare occasions when Tim and I go to a pub and they don’t serve Blue Beaver.  I’m certain you are thinking that we should just walk out right away.  Well, most times we would do exactly that.  But, if you’re on the road and you happen to find yourself in a one pub town, and it’s time for second breakfast…well, you have to have a beer with second breakfast.  So we have found a few brews that come close to the quality of Blue Beaver.

Over the next week or so I will introduce you to our list of alternatives.  That way when you can’t grab a Beaver, you can at least grab something that doesn’t suck.

First of all, there is an import from England that’s reasonably good.  It’s called: Treadmill – "The mighty lager with the worlds first great taste of fish".  It has a pleasant flavour that somehow brings to mind the feeling that you had when you were a young child and you were just outside the dentists office and you were about to go in and get a tooth pulled…but in a good way.

Stay tuned for more.

Personally, Ernie, I never had that trout taste associated with the dentist. It is more remeniscent of that time that we went to Sea Land and we fed the seals and I slipped and…. but that’s another story for another blog.
