I wonder if cows aren’t a lot like lemmings. They are kinda dumb. They will follow the leader of the herd. they are mammals.
According to Wikipedia, "Lemmings will often migrate in large groups and as a result some
lemmings will occasionally be pushed off cliffs or drowned in bodies of
water simply by the press of their compatriots but such deaths are
unintentional and incidental."
Cows would probably only fall off a cliff for the same reasons, basically by accident. They are dumb enough to push their friends over the edge will reaching for that last bit of grass.
