We Finally Got A Piece of the Pi

Published on March 14, 2007 by in Uncategorized

I just heard something very interesting.  Apparently today is Pi day.  Today is the day that, a few thousand years ago, some mathematician decided to use the Greek letter Pi to represent the fraction 22/7, which as we all know is the key to calculating the circumference and area of a circle.  I can’t even count the number of times I’ve looked at a can of Blue Beaver Beer and wondered about it’s circumference.  If you are absolutely dying to know more about Pi you can go to this here site.  Or you can go check out the segment they did on Good Morning World today.  The first link is kind of technical and a bit on the dull side, the second link contains near nudity.  You can take your pick but for me the choice is as easy as Pi.
