Too Much Tom Norton’s Coffee

May 10th, 2007 · No Comments

So, as we have mentioned before, when Tm and I aren’t drinking Blue Beaver Beer (which is a rarity) we can quite often be found indulging in our second favourite beverage; coffee.  As with our choice in beer, we have developed certain preferences in coffee as well.  Approximately, 93.142857% of the time we only drink Tom Norton’s coffee.  The main reason for this is that the added opium content tends to be highly addictive.  But for me I also like the fact that Tom Norton’s has regular ordinary everyday coffee, like the kind that my mother fed me when I was a baby.  If you go to that giant evil corporate coffee store chain "Starebocks" they don’t have regular coffee.  You have to buy some sort of mocha-frappa-cappu-rackda-alpa-ccino crap.  And sure maybe an argument can be made that these fancy beverages taste better than hot liquid tar (to the unrefined palate) but all I have to say about that is: blahblahblahiamnotlisteningtoyoublahblahblah!  I think that supports my views quite effectively.

Speaking of coffee, for many years I have been a fan of a comic book character called "Too Much Coffee Man".  A couple of years ago the creator of TMCM, Shannon Wheeler branched out and wrote and opera based on his comic.  If you click on this link, you can watch a cartoon that’s based on the opera based on the comic book, "Too Much Coffee Man".  I would suggest you watch it a couple of times, and pay attention to the Italian subtitles, they’re not quite what you might expect.
