The following is my first pick for a new Beer Buddy. He is none other than Josh Rimer. Some of you may have heard his name before now. I have mentioned him back here and also wayyy back here. He has also had some coverage by the "mainstream" media.
For those of you who have not heard and/or are too busy to click on the links and read my previous posts; here is a brief rundown. Josh is an actor who lives in Calgary. A little while ago he decided to do an experiment on YouTube. First, he made a video. Tthen for every 5000 comments he got on that video, he gave away $100 to a randomly selected commenter. He did this ten times for a total of 50 000 comments and $1000 dollars. Hence, The $1000 YouTube Experiment.
Fortunately for Josh, (unfortunately for the rest of us) all the money has been given away and the initial experiment is done. Now however, he is going in to phase two. He is currently collecting donations; any amount of money that people want to give him. However, he is not going to keep the money for himself. What he is going to do is collect the money and continue to collect comments on his video until it becomes the number one most discussed video on YouTube (I believe he currently is at #6). Once he has reached this goal, he is going to give away all the money that has been donated to one lucky, randomly selected commenter.
Josh is a very funny guy and he and I have "talked" at length through his comments. He also enjoys a cold Blue Beaver Beer, although after giving away all his money he can no longer afford to buy any. If you watch his video and comment on it, it will be almost as satisfying for him as a Blue Beaver Beer. So go over to Josh’s homepage, check out all the details of his experiment and offer to e-mail him a six-pack. You might just end up a big winner if you do.
That was quite ambitious for Josh. Good luck to him.
