Garry Wayne Todd, 53, of Valleyview Alberta was arrested and charged with bestiality on Wednesday. Information on exactly which species of animal was involved is being withheld at this time. Police say that there is some question as to whether or not animals in these cases are traumatized. "These animals aren’t going for psychological counseling, although I can see why someone might wonder if they react differently to this kind of abuse", said RCMP spokesman Cpl. Wayne Oakes. "When it involves bigger animals like livestock, no harm is necessarily done. But when bestiality involves smaller animals, there may be that risk. Abuse in any form can make animals become aggressive or scared." Edmonton Police spokesman Jeff Wuite and local humane society spokesman Jessica Crossley both said that bestiality cases in Edmonton are extremely rare.

What is wrong with people? I love the work of philosopher Peter Singer and really respect him and then he decided to come out in support of bestiality, it really freaked me out. I wonder how this guy was arrested. Was he having his wicked way in public?!
