Firefighters in Regina, Saskatchewan found an innovative way to stop a gas leak. They used duct tape. On Monday night the firefighters responded to call in a north-end neighbourhood. After evacuating the residents of the entire block, a Red Green inspired repair job was done until a SaskEnergy gas crew could come and do the job properly.
I have personally used duct tape to repair gloves, re-upholster my car, bind books, as a bandage, to remove lint from clothing, and for a Halloween costume (a mummy). That last one was a real pain in the a$$ as well as every other part of my body that the tape was directly touching. I also seem to recall a little while back, that in the event of a terrorist’s chemical attack you should seal all the windows and doors in the house using duct tape. I suspect (though I haven’t tried it) you might even be able to fashion a beer mug out of duct tape. On the other hand, you could just drink it out of the bottle/can. But on the third hand (for those who are truly gifted) supposedly that like drinking wine straight from the bottle. To which I must respond; what’s wrong with that?
Seriously? Who would have thought duct tape could double as fire safety equipment. Is there nothing it can’t do?
I use duct tape all the time to fix my motorbike at the side of the road. Great if the fairing cracks and also to help secure luggage if the bungies snap.
Even my wallet is made from duct tape
duck tapes are brutal
