5.09.07 # 8:39 # Beer Buddies # No CommentIt may be obvious to some of you that Tim and I have been greatly influenced by Bob and Doug McKenzie. These two hosers were our heroes growing up. If you watch our videos, our greeting message is a direct rip-off homage to Bob and Doug. We also enjoy our beer (they drank Elsinore, not Blue Beaver) and back bacon and we wear toques when the weather gets cold. 
Recently, they celebrated their 2-4 anniversary with a new special airing on CBC Televsion. The two brother have become such such cult icons that even the majority of U.S. Americans and even some people from "across the pond" are familiar with them. If you have seen the two "Brother Bear" movies you may know that the voices of the two moose, Rutt and Tuke are done by Bob and Doug (or Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas if you want to get technical). Looking around the internet for the McKenzie Brothers I came across an on-line newspaper that is written by the two of them, called The Hoser. You have to go check it out, it’s hilarious.
