It’s not often that I review a book at the bar. Not that I don’t read many, it’s just that I usually have other things to talk about (i.e. beer). However, I recently came across one that I really feel everybody should read. It’s entitled, “Get Stupid! (With the Ignorance IS Bliss Method!)” by T.O. Strong.
This is the last self-help book you will ever need, in fact it is hailed as the last book you will ever read. The basic premise of the book is this, “Stupid = Ignorance = Bliss”. The problem is that we are all too smart to be happy; but if you follow the method described in the book you will become stupid and thereby become happy.
There are seven simple steps to follow to get to bliss including, “Stop thinking”, “Build Walls” and “Avoid challenges”.
I could just quote the entire book here, it’s that awesome, but I suspect that some peoplelawyers out there would object to such a thing. So I will just give the following two quotes and leave it at that: “True healing has more to do with drinking than anything else.” “Concentrate on…umm, ah…Why am I in the kitchen?”
