I Can Read This
11.12.07 # 9:34 # Blogs # 8 CommentsSo I was over at Mental Floss a little while ago and they had a story about another very interesting site. If you go to The Blog Readability Test, you can enter the url of your own or someone else’s blog and the test will analyse it. Then it tell you what level of readability your blog is at. Here’s our own:
Just for the record I wish to point out that this in no way signifies the intelligence level of our loyal readers. It’s just means that anyone with an elementary school level education (i.e. Jethro Bodine) should be able to read our blog without any trouble. I would like to think, however, that one needs to be both sophisticated and highly intelligent to really appreciate all of our subtle layers of humour. And it probably helps to know some Canadian spelling. Feel free to check your own and be sure to let us know your results; don’t make me do it for you.

I agree with Tamara. But at least ours didn’t come out as “Kindergarten”!
LOL.. Tammy, you spammer.
I didn’t check mine but I’m probably remedial short-bus material. People lose brain cells at my site.
There are a lot of Filipino bloggers that think because their sites reading level comes up as Genius, it must make them genius’
The genius level would be required if your page/site features:
More than one language in a page.
A great deal of slang content.
Poor site navigation.
A large number of statistic boxes.
Content which has nothing to do with your site/page title, or confusing content (eg. a blog about a child coming into this world, but content advertising casino’s, pottery, wine etc.).
