I have made a new addition to the menu here at the Redneck.  To honour the Monday Night Bar-room Brawl Tag Team Champions, Tammy and Gerri, I have named a sandwich after them; The G&T Grinder.

tg-grinder.jpg
Piled high on a fresh baked sourdough mini-loaf: thin sliced prosciutto ham, shredded Mexican cheese and crisp baby arugula.  Then it’s slathered with whole grain mustard; served with home-style fries and a dill pickle spear.  We put so much ham and cheese into this sandwich that it weighs in at two full pounds.  When you finish with it, you’ll be sprawled out in your chair groaning; exactly the way all of Gerri and Tammy’s opponents end up after going a few rounds in the ring with them.  You might be able to beat The G&T Grinder if you train hard, but so far no one has beaten the champs.  Tammy suppiles the ham and Gerri brings the cheese everytime they do battle (metaphorically speaking, of course).

I am looking to expand our sandwich offerings, so if anyone else want one named after them, just leave me a comment to say why you believe you are sandwich-worthy.

I’m so honored.. and I’m especially glad it comes on a mini-loaf instead of big buns. Thanks guys ;)

  2. Tammy says:

So do me and Gerri get all the free sandwiched we can eat because we are the champions? LOL

I found this via Tammy….the G&T Grinder sounds great, and at a full 2 pounds would pack a punch too

Since I’m Tammy’s best bud, I may be a bit prejudiced, but I think she totally rocks and should have a whole DAY named after her ;-) I’m her biggest fan! Way to go guys – these girls are awesome and deserve to have a sandwich as their namesake ;-)

For obvious reasons of being full of myself, I would like to propose the ‘Canucklehead’. That way, after eating a few – I could really be full of myself. I don’t have the whole thing worked out quite yet – but it would almost certainly contain ham, Canadian bacon and lots of cheese! It’s a work in progress … cheers!

Tammy and Gerri getting “sandwiched” for free? That sounds like an altogether different kind of blog.

One would wonder exactly which day would be the best for Tammy. Perhaps every Saturday the 14th of May should be Tammy Day.

I would love a Canuckle-Sandwich; right in the kisser.

Ohhhh…I want that sandwich. Even after two heaping bowls of Cap’n Crunch. A “Canucklehead” sounds good too. A “JD” would probably be chicken breast, mayo, lettuce and tomato, and hot peppers. Mmmm!

Ernie!!! You rock! My best bud Tam is the greatest, and I’m thrilled to see her getting the recognition she deserves. She is a fantastic friend, she’s beautiful, and she’s hilarious. You really should ask her if she got the problems with her disk drive worked out.

Every Saturday of the 14th of May…. eh???
    YAY for Tammy Day!
