Your scenario of Canada Day sounds like alot of fun! I would get a mess load of hockey pucks tho... not sure what I would do with all of them. Use them as coasters, for my beer perhaps...

Hoser.... hehe... you left that one out.... oh hell, I just busted myself for knowing about Bob and Doug....

Where do I sign up to be The Great Gretzky? Going from house to house, picking up free Big Macs, dropping off a hockey stick or puck...sounds sweet!

It's pretty funny that Canada, and USA have similar dates for their Independence day. Especialy consindering that the two countries are close to one another.

Ernie, you have to actually be me to get 100% - it is all subjective. (But 99 was totally right!). Anyway, you'll be happy to know I've bestowed an award upon you for your trouble. You can get it here:

As a winner, you are also entitle to pass it on - show you know others that are worthy. Cheers!

Corrina: I got out to the camp site and I was attacked by like six or seven of the rodents. They were jumping on me and kicking and biting me. It was a nightmare.

Canucklehead: That's is a highly Canadian Mosaic. Seeing Joey Jerimiah really brought back some memories.

Mr. Steve Display: You don't know what you're missing if you've never had a smokie with cheese. It would be like if you had a big tube chock-full of tasty chemicals and then you added more chemicals that tasted even better.

Tammy: What did the Great Gretzky leave for you? I got a picture of his wife during her Police Academy days.

hi Guys, I'm not a Canadian (I'm not one of the "four"), but I'll raise my glass to Canada! Any excuse to drink another beer.
Seriously though, well, not seriously though, very funny post, yet again. Your description of the smell of stale smoke, off, sunscreen, and I-would-add-sweat takes me back to the carefree days of my childhood and camping. We ate smokies back then, but I don't remember any cheese. Must be a new thing.
Three Cheers to Canada!

I saw your note about the double-double over at my place. I assumed the official drink was Blue Beaver? Anyway, I put together a small mosaic that I hope you will enjoy:
