Well, you can clearly see what I have been doing for the past several days.  That’s right, I’ve been riding Tremors with an 11 year old girl (don’t worry, her mother [sitting right behind us] said I could).  I wanted to perform an experiment.  You see at first she was scared to ride the roller coaster, but after promising her all the cotton candy she could keep down she agreed to go on it.

After many rides she was finally able to calm down enough to quickly flash a thumbs up sign at the camera.  At the same time I very carefully and deliberately posed in such a way that I looked terrified (even though I wasn’t).  And thus, I was able to get the picture that I wanted.

And if that girl ever tells you that I was really scared or that I was screaming during the ride, don’t believe her; she’s a lying little weasel (I was yelling-there’s a difference; look it up in a dictionary).

Oh yeh, I can totally tell you were faking being scared and I think you are good enough to star in your own B movie…. perhaps we can call it “Attack of the Killer Roller Coaster” and the seats could open up and expose razor teeth that chop up people it doesn’t like….. man that would really make me sh*t my pants!

    Oh and well done!

I recently took my 5 year old brother on his first rollercoaster ride ever – he LOVED it!

I was never a fan of those rollercoaster pics though – they always seem to catch me with my eyes closed!

It’s ok, Ernie, you can tell the truth. Some of those rides scare the crap out of me and I won’t even pretend to be manly about it.

Hahaha… you have a genius of putting a “spin” on a roller coaster ride. :)

I applaud your awesome efforts. You’re right – to the casual observer it may appear that she is cool and you are pants-wetting scared – but to an expert to myself I can recognize the expert choreography (with the help of a little photoshop – your secret is safe with me.) Good work Nancy!

I recently went to bushe gardens in florida and oh my god was I scared. My boyfriend was going ‘look at that little girl is riding it’, and i queued all the way, but on the big rides ended up backing out at the last min (walking straight through) – but did go on 1 big ride, and then sat down for 10mins while i felt travel sick.
