Take a look at this picture. Can you spot the mistake this redneck guy is making while fixing his truck? For now we will forget about the mistake he made picking trucks. That green is absolutely horrid, but not unsafe unless it makes other motorists throw up and crash.
If you guessed that his welding machine should have been a Miller, that’s not it. While I agree that Millers are good machines, you don’t have to have one for the work he is doing right now, and that one will make perfectly safe welds.
If you guessed personal protective equipment, that’s not it either. True, leather chaps and coveralls would give him more protection, and this is a source of frequent workplace injuries, but he really doesn’t need it to work on his own stuff.
All right, give up? I’ll tell you what concerns me here. This dumba$$ is welding right beside the gas tank! He could blow himself up! I can’t believe you didn’t spot that.
I’m speechless… sure hope he didn’t swing his arm the to right,while under there!!!

The scary thing to me are the 2×4′s holding the truck up…I think getting crushed to death would be more likely than blowing up…

Man I was positive the answer was that he refrained from showing his crack. I thought that was Redneck 101.
p.s. Those things he’s using to prop up the car are probably made of wood, right? But one has vertical grooves in it and it looks amazingly similar to the aluminum extender we have on the bottom of the gutter spout.

I thouhgt it was the color of the truck. Garrish Green usually makes me pass out and crash. I think I saw that dude at the last Darwin Award Convention.
I think he is welding the gas tank to stop the gas from flowing out. He does not want the wood holding the truck up to slip.
This is just so dangerous on so many levels it’s hard to know where to begin. I’m assuming there are no wind gusts where he’s at.

I know there are many things wrong with the way this guy is doing his repairs, but he has some balls to be sitting underneath a car that can fall at any second while welding near a gas tank that can blow any second. I bet he is saving a loads of money by not taking it to a mechanic.
