So, I guess by now the recent deaths of various celebrities is old news. But, I’ve been lazy afflicted with the weasel flu so I haven’t had a chance to comment on them until now.
The one that everybody is talking about is, of course, the “King of Pop” Michael Jackson. His demise has completely overshadowed the departures of Farrah Fawcett and Ed (You May Already Be A Winner) McMahon. Also, no one is talking about David Carradine anymore. I suppose he’s last weeks news (literally).
Although the causes of deaths of Ed and Farrah are fully known (and therefore not at all interesting) MJ’s death is shrouded in mystery and thus is a huge source of “news”. I do not care to speculate on the cause of him ceasing to be, however I would like to present a controversial theory as to the real reason behind all of the celebrities shuffling off this mortal coil at the same time.
As we all know, Hollywood celebrities are completely bereft of actual personalities. They only say and do what their agents tell them will get the common people talking. They are also very fond of copying one another. If Madonna buys adopts a child, Brangelina have to buy adopt one. If Mel Gibson gets a D.U.I., Keifer Sutherland and Lindsay Lohan have to get one too. If Brad Pitt sleeps with the nanny Jon Gosselin has to as well (Jon and Kate were barely even celebrities until they started having “marital troubles”). Therefore, following this “logic” David Carradine died and it got everyone talking so a few more celebrities decided they should expire and go to meet their maker. Unfortunately for McMahon and Fawcett Wacko-Jacko is stealing all of the thunder.
Now, I’ve already heard some speculation that perhaps Mikey faked his death; either to get out of some lawsuits pending against him or as some sort of over-the-top publicity stunt to promote an upcoming world tour. Either way, if he’s wants to re-invent himself all he has to do is dye himself black and no one will ever recognize him.
Haha, an interesting theory you have! I’m not sure I believe it to be true though, but what I do know is how often a celbraties death is shrouded in controversy, I think most of the time it’s just the media trying to stir things up.
It’s interesting how the levels of celebrity work when it comes to death. During the “In Memoriam” bit on the Academy Awards, the audience claps the loudest for the people who are the most well-known. I wonder whose death could possibly overshadow MJ’s (if, indeed, he is dead). Maybe Madonna or Brangelina.

Lets not forget Billy Mays. I actually liked his infomercials. What a weird week for celebrities
hey Ernie,
I may be the “trade show guru” but you are the “redneck genius”. Brilliant theory that you came up with. I think you are right… so now I’m wondering who will try to out-michael michael… hmmm.
Steve, the trade show guru

How about Billy Mays?
Would other people in his “industry” start copying him?
RIP to all the people you mentioned, of course, only those who passed away. LOL
I don’t believe he’s dead, maybe he wants to get out of the O2 Arena gigs, escape debts etc, I love Micheal J. don’t get me wrong, but to me hes not dead. If Michael Jackson did fake his death maybe he should came back for his concert but dressed as a Zombie from Thriller. Lol
Micheal posted himself to be a local men
that’s y he is in news
Oh C’mon! Even Michael Jackson wouldn’t be so stupid as to think of death as a publicity stunt. Course, Fawcett and Ed and Carradine must be real angry at the King of Pop now. I think they probably won’t be speaking to him on their bus taking them to the Pearly Gates.
yes this was quite a blog i think about true it is very sad how we all put ed mcmahon and farrah on the back burner i really think that we should just let michael go in peace as well we werent there when he neede us the most why now he is gone and there is not to much we can d
It is very sad news. I don’t understand why they take the drugs. Thanks for the sharing.
Hi,fromChiropractic SOAP notes“In Memoriam” bit on the Academy Awards, the audience claps the loudest for the people who are the most well-known.
Michael Jackson was a rock star.MJ’s death is shrouded in mystery and thus is a huge source of “news”.
this is totally mean, but I thought that Ed McMahon was already dead when I heard about it…. Don’t even get me started on John and Kate! Their kids are going to be so screwed up.
Better now then never, i understand why you comment on this now!
I actually thought that MJ’s death was for publicity too. His comeback tour wasn’t that much of a big news when he announced it (case in point: my mom doesn’t know about it until his death) so they had to come up with a mean stunt.
I was in denial until my boss confirmed that it’s true (he’s in LA).
Anyway, unlike other people, I do recognize the death of other celebrities. I was so upset when Farrah Fawcet died. I hope they may all just rest in piece.
I like this title.nohting could accompany you in your last life period but a coffin. that’s really sad but also it’s reality.

Man, if you ask me, Billy Mays death was the most tragic. Poor guy had so much left to do!! RIP.
I was surprised that MJ hadn’t popped his clogs sooner, what with all that plastic surgery. I know he went through a lot in his early years, but he had major issues. Hopefully they are all in peace now.

I liked the article. It’s wierd how so many people died all around the same time. I think that Billie Mays is the most tragic loss. I mean, have you ever used a sham-wow. They are amazing.
It usually happens in three’s. This time around it was definitely more like a cluster.
Classic comment about Michael being black.
I think the theories will be knocking around for years to come. I’m still not sure if anyone is dead…
I’m A Celebrity, Get Me A Coffin
It’s strange how celebrities seem to die in numbers instead of one here and there. It’s tragic that it happened that way, but some of it’s real life and some of it’s the result of being a celebrity. We have good memories of some or all of them (depending on your age and tv/movie viewing and/or music listening. The Michael Jackson came as a shock though I remember numerous times seeing him wearing his mask there was no way to know how frail he was. It’s his children I feel for.
He’ll live on for everyone that enjoys him in the music and videos. The others in movies, tv shows, music, or movies.
Strange stuff for sure!
Yeah, it was a rough week for celebrity deaths, but millions of people all over the world die on a daily basis, and nobody interrupts my C.S.I. for Joe Schmoe when he kicks the bucket. Pretty sad if I do say so. Well RIP for anyone who has recently passed, celebrity or otherwise.
This is all just one big Publicity stunt on The Jackson Family’s part. They are all just also-ran celebs who needed a gig to get them into the spotlight again. As for Michael, he’s not dead, he’s just taking a break. He’s working in a 7-11 in Detroit as we speak!!
It s been a few weeks and that clown is still on the news. I don’t know why. Those other celebrities were more 100 more respectable than that pervert.
Unfortunately they all end up like this. I wonder if its too much stress. I mean they all end up dying because of an overdose or suicide. Sad…
I prefer to remember Farah the way she was on that poster on my bedroom wall as a kid – you know the one I’m talking about. Man, was she a fox or what? Bring back feathered hair-do’s!
MJ’s death overshadowed Farrrah Faucet’s and David Caradine’s. Why do you think the death of A-list personalities such as Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, and MJ has to be shrouded in mystery? There must be some conspiracy theory here.
So true. Michael Jackson’s death has eclipsed the rest of the celebrity death news. It’s funny you should say that celebrities are outdoing each other even when it comes to death.
“Now, I’ve already heard some speculation that perhaps Mikey faked his death; either to get out of some lawsuits pending against him or as some sort of over-the-top publicity stunt to promote an upcoming world tour.”
How pathetic that some people are spreading news that the pop star’s death is mainly a cover up for some pending lawsuits. But being the famous celebrity that he is, criticisms and negative speculations like these are already given. It’s just so strange that even up to the celebrities’ deaths, their lives are made controversial.
WITH SLAVERY, PIRACY, PESTILENCE, and NATURAL DISASTERS ON THE UPSWING in comes Paris Hilton, who is still making front page news. The most engaging of global news is conflict, or Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan . Now, if you look at different media formats around the world, to include regional, you regularly find the faces of celebrities flaunting their drinking habits, drug addictions, and porn videos yet, sadly none of them have any appreciable talents aside from making front page news and boasting a collection of followers. These celebrities could drink crude oil, promote that it is healthy and their devoted entourage of followers would believe them.
“Now, I’ve already heard some speculation that perhaps Mikey faked his death; either to get out of some lawsuits pending against him or as some sort of over-the-top publicity stunt to promote an upcoming world tour.”
If this is true, whoever told MJ to fake his death was a wacko, too. It is just so sad that if all these were true, people will go to the extent of destroying themselves just for fame.
I don’t think these celebrities are all actually dead. Michael Jackson for example, is defintely hiding somewhere. One day he’ll pop up on stage in a ball of smoke and all you’ll hear is: heeeee heeeee…. OWWWW!
Haha, I wonder what would happen if Michael went back to being black. This is assuming he really did fake it, which I highly doubt. I half wonder if some people do arrange their deaths so it can be mysterious and they can be immortalized. Everyone wishes that people will talk about them for generations after they pass on right?
Isn’t it funny that the best PR strategy for celebrities is to create bad publicity. We seem to hold our celebrities to a different standard than politicians or big businessmen.
I was astonished on how many celebrities died in 2009. It was like it was the baby phase, but minus the bump and plus a few less things to make fun of. Do you secretly think that Mike’s smoking with Elvis and Jim Morrison in Paris somewhere?
