Although, some do it without realizing the destructive nature it may bring. Personally, I think Eve was created to bring Adam moral support and companionship. I agree with claire:

It is not fair to interpret that women are weak or women are the cause for evil, etc. Even to say that they are NOT the cause of evil itself seems to undermine them!
