Splitting Wood, Redneck Style
A lot of people figure that an axe is the way to go to split a little wood for your campfire. It’s true, axes have their place. It is also true that it costs more, takes longer, and is really dangerous to split wood with an explosion. So why do we do it? I’m not sure, really. It just seemed appropriate at the time!
I shouldn’t need to add that attempting something like this yourself could result in death, dismemberment or drastic suffering. Don’t try this at home, kids! But if you do, make sure you use the same ingredients we did. That’s right, Mentos and Jolt Cola.
Redneck Woodsplitting
I am not sure about this idea. I think we will have a run on mentos and jolt cola now. I can see the stores sold out and wood flying every where rednecks are.
I know i will see someone one trying this next time i am camping. The only problem is they might not be as smart as you and not realize how much debri will fly around.
I wish my Dad would have let me split wood this way when I was a teenager! I really want to ry this next time we go camping but we’d probably get thrown out of the campsite! Great video.

Just shows you what can happen when you have had too much beer and a little bit of dynamite lying around LOL!
My sons school did a chemistry experiment of this nature with cola and mints on open evening. It drew a big crowd and was very impressive.
